Understanding the Process of Roof Installation and Replacement

Your roof is one of the most important components of your home, protecting you from the outside elements. A roof replacement can be a daunting project, especially if you don’t know what to anticipate from the process. However, if properly done, it should be a smooth and efficient transition from your current roof to your new one. Let Elevated Roofing & Siding bring clarity to this process for you as we explore what you should expect when the time comes for your roof replacement.

Roof replacement process

The Initial Inspection and Estimate

The first step of the process is for us to assess your roof’s condition and determine your unique roofing needs. We will discuss your preferences, provide recommendations, relay any special considerations, and present you with an estimate for the replacement. Once you are satisfied with the scope of the project and the materials selected, we can proceed to setting the timeline of your project.

Removal of Old Roofing Materials

When our team arrives to begin your project, the first thing we will do is remove all of your old roofing materials, such as shingles and damaged decking. It’s possible that we may discover underlying issues that require additional repairs. If that is the case, we will bring it to your attention before we proceed. Removing your old roof can generate a lot of noise and mess, but we will do our best to minimize any disruptions to your home and property.

Installation of New Roofing System

Once our team fully removes all of the old roofing materials, we can begin the installation of the new roofing system that you selected for your home. We will install your roof according to the specifications outlined in your contract. This can also be very loud, and may even rattle your house. The good news is that most roofing installations are complete within one day, depending on the size of your roof and the scope of your project.

The Cleanup and Final Inspection

Once the installation of your new roof is complete, our team will thoroughly clean the work area. We will remove the nails and other debris generated from the process. After the installation, we will conduct a final inspection to ensure everything meets our standards for quality. Our goal is your complete satisfaction, and we will strive to leave your property better than we found it.
