Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I should file an insurance claim?

The only way to know for sure is by scheduling an appointment for us to carefully inspect your roof. There are many factors involved, and you can be assured that we will always give our professional opinion upon inspection.

How do I know if my roof needs to be replaced?

Every roof is different. If your roof is over 20 years old, then it's probably at the end of its lifespan. The best way to know for sure is to schedule a free estimate.

How do I know if there is a leak in my roof?

Roof leaks can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for them. Go into your attic and check for signs of moisture. Your wood framing may have dark spots or your insulation may appear to be matted or damp. A more obvious sign of a leak would be dark stains, bulges, or drips on your ceiling or walls after a rain storm.

Do you provide a roof warranty?

We offer a 10-year roofing labor guarantee on the work we do for your home.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash or check at the completion of your project. We also accept credit card payments for a small fee. If your job is being covered either partially or fully by insurance, we can help you navigate through the insurance process.

How long will my new shingle roof last?

Typically, a properly installed roof that has been well-maintained will last about 25 years. The exact lifespan will also depend on the type of shingles used.

What is an ice dam and how can I prevent it?

Ice dams form when snow thaws and then freezes at the eaves. The ice dam can force water underneath the shingles, resulting in leaks. They can cause serious damage to a roof and the home's structure. If you've had problems with this in the past and are having a new roof installed, we would recommend installing ice and water shield in the problematic areas.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes. We offer free, no-obligation estimates for all of the services we provide.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, we are fully insured and can provide a copy of our insurance certificate upon request.

How long will it take for my roof to be replaced?

It typically takes 1-2 days to replace a roof, but larger roofs may take up to three days.

How long will my new metal roof last?

New metal roofs will last about 50 years or more. Their lifespan is usually double that of a shingle roof.

How can I extend the life of my roof?

Proper maintenance is the best way to extend the life of your roof. Do not ignore the small repairs that need to be made, because they can lead to bigger issues down the road.
